"Distortion Études is an album of electro acoustic recordings made at Bemis Center with an earlier version of our rolling bar sound sculpture. The earlier sculpture used sp404s to sample and manipulate sounds picked up on contact mics attached to fresnel lenses (sometimes misidentified as lenticular lenses—even by us) sourced from big screen tvs. These improvisational recordings are the result of testing the sonic possibilities of the object." - SCRAAATCH
